The colour is cherry blossom.

Can you believe how fast time flies? I feel like I can’t keep up with the world anymore! While my head is consumed with juvenile issues, life is not slowing down for me and I have grown up things to worry about (like filing taxes *gasp*). So here is to a worry-free Sunday, which is how every Sunday should be like. Let’s look at pretty things and forget the world for a few hours.

Have a wonderful weekend you guys, and an even better week ahead of you!

About five frappucino’s….

What do you guys think? Would you get it?

Personally a little pricey for me, but it is oh so pretty…

To get or not to get?

PS, can you tell? I found my champagne pink nail polish!

Dress Code: Corporate.

23 10 2012

My office look has always been a little more playful than corporate. I have kind of been using my department as an excuse to dress just a little more fun, just because we can. Until I changed my workplace, that is.

My title is more or less synonymous with my last one, but the work culture here is a lot more corporate, due to their internal operational reason. I however, now have to dress a lot more corporate and I am having trouble conforming to it. I kid you not, we are talking knee length skirt IN BORING COLOURS, closed toe shoes ALSO IN BORING COLOURS, and jewelry in moderation..they specifically said one ring, one bracelet, and NO VISIBLE NECKLACES. Are you kidding me?

If you are familiar with this blog, you would know that 1. I love colours, 2. I love statement jewelries  3. I love arm candieS, and 4. I love colours. But I did my research, and guys, please meet my new style icons.

Rachel Zane from Suits. I’m currently finding it hard to find long skirts that are tight enough for it to still look good. Wonder where she shops?

The one and only, Blair Waldorf. Slightly more chic than corporate, but I wonder if I can get away with it?

And the always gorgeous Duchess Kate. Well, minus the gowns, probably not very appropriate for work.

If you have any suggestions, or tips on how to go about breaking the corporate rules discreetly, do share! Or any other style I should check out?

Blue Green or Mustard Yellow?

7 10 2012

What to do, what to do..

I was on the hunt for a very specific type of skirt yesterday and I must have looked at hundreds of shops at least (dearest shopping companion, I apologize!). I didn’t end up getting what I wanted and it frustrated the hell out of me because I don’t think I’m looking for something that is too out of this world!

But that is not the actual dilemma that I’m facing right now. While I was looking at all the skirts these hundred something shops carry, I came across two skirts that momentarily, made me forget about the purpose of my trip. I didn’t end up getting them because it wasn’t what I came to buy, but now I kind of wish I had. Here’s the problem though: should I go with blue green, or mustard yellow?

Blue green?

Or mustard yellow?

Blue green?

Or mustard yellow????

I thought that if I see enough images as a reference, I could decide, but I love both colours now more than ever! Your input will highly be appreciated. Let me know what you think!!

Before the leaves fall.

30 09 2012

If you had ask me two days ago what is my fall colour this year, chances are I would have said white.

I’ve gotten some really really good news last week, but I also had my share of failures. I thought there was no better time than now to go on a retail therapy to lick my wounds but also to reward myself, so off I go, to restock my closet. While I would love to share with you each and everyone of my purchases, I thought I would first dedicate a post to the colour that stole my heart away yesterday. Any guesses?

What is your colour this season?

Stay a little longer.

Coloured denim love! I came across the mango coloured one (like the first image) with a very attractive price tag, but I’m a little reluctant to get it now that summer is more or less over… I think it could work as a fall colour, what do you think? This is why I hope this trend goes on forever. Look at them, these colours can brighten up any day!

And of course I love that they are all paired with white.

Do you have any trends that you would be sad to see them go out of style?

White Washed.

6 09 2012

I woke up this morning and felt the cool crisp air, and realized that summer is coming to an end. While I did enjoy my summer in small doses, I knew I could have had way more fun if things worked out in my favour more. Anyways, this post is a tribute to my favourite look this summer, the beauty of all white outfit.

I previously disliked anything that is too matchy-matchy because in my head, it resembled clothes worn by babies or people who are on their way to bed. While the babies look absolutely adorable in them, I had no intention on looking  like them at this age.

Oh so cute!..but the only place I can rock this outfit is on a beach as a swimsuit, or in a slumber party.

That is, until I realized that the subtle clash makes all the differences. If I wanted to rock white on white, I just have to make sure that the only thing the two pieces have in common is the colour.

Aren’t lace shorts just the cutest thing ever?

Combining another colour in to the outfit can be done easily too because the colour pallete is so clean to begin with.

I just love white outfits because it’s so clean, so simple, but so put together.

Brown booties to roughen up the otherwise sweet angelic look.

I know I said that this was my favourite summer look, but you bet I will be doning this look for many more seasons to come. Treat it as a staple look, because you can glam it up with any heels or accessories, or casual it down with your beachy hair and sunkissed skin. Another beauty of matching white on white, is how easy it is to rotate too. Three white tops, three white bottoms, and the look you can create from those are endless with all the accessories that you have.

I also love black on black, but it has the tendency to get a little too dark, so it is not my first pick for summer. I don’t know if other colours would work as well though, I’m still undecided on how I feel about beige on beige. I know it’s very similar to white on white, but look how different it can look! What do you think?
